The REAL Honeymoon - McCleod Ganj

McCleod Ganj was great fun. A really relaxing place. There are a lot of tourists and traveller-types as it is the home of the Dalai Lama and the Tibetan Government in exile.

On the mornings of the first 2 days we learnt how to make Momos and Tibetan bread. It’s all pinching and twisting. We came away determined that we’d make them as soon as we got back to Bangalore.

While we were there we visited the museums and exhibitions detailing the history and the struggle of the Tibetan people. Very sad to think that it has been 50 years since China invaded Tibet and still it doesn’t look like there is any chance of the many refugees going home to a free Tibet in their lifetime.

The hill stations in India throw up little pieces of England.........

....and then you come across a bunch of Punjabis sipping Whisky in a stream and realise you couldn't be anywhere but in India!
